This work is appropriate for anyone who wants to move more freely, not just while walking, running, dancing, golfing, skiing, or riding, but move on in their lives.

NOTE

Feldenkrais Method,  Hatha Yoga, Meridian Flexibility System are wonderfully complete and effective; I choose not to mix or dilute them. However, we may begin with yoga and stretching exercises to wake up areas of the body, and move on to the Feldenkrais Method for the duration of the lesson, depending on your needs. Or spend the time facilitating a challenging yoga posture. Which might call for Feldenkrais Functional Integration work to begin with.

Sessions

Here’s what I think is the difference between yoga and the Feldenkrais or somatic methods: Hatha (movement) yoga is preparation for meditation. It cleans the organs. It relaxes the body to prepare for a passive journey into the mind. Feldenkrais is preparation for action. The client or student is left with a feeling of readiness to move. Both rejuvenate, and are vital tools in calming the central nervous system, thus retarding the aging process.
